“You’re too sensitive!”
If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard those words…I’d be very rich.
It used to really bother me. But now…not at all.
For I realised that there’s actually no such thing as “too sensitive”.
You are as sensitive as it takes to be you…otherwise you’d be someone else.
Sensitivity is one of the more common traits that are attributed to autistics.
But, as I say in my book, Autism & Evolution: spirit, science & fairy tales, autistics aren’t too sensitive…they’re beautifully sensitive.
And this beautiful sensitivity is loving and gentle and kind…and exquisitely brilliant.
Autistics are shining their light through their beautiful sensitivity, and showing you how to open your heart.
Your sensitivity is your guide to love and joy and wonder and magic and all the good things in life. And you can never have too much of a good thing.
So, when you’re told that you’re too sensitive, just smile, because you know that your beautiful light is shining.
