“Autism is a developmental disorder characterised by difficulties with social interaction and communication” (wiki)

Social: from the Latin sequor/sequi = to follow.

Autism, therefore, is characterised by difficulties in following the expectations of the mainstream world.

Autistics lack the skills to follow the dictates of others.

But autistics are forerunners in the evolutionary progression into higher intelligence, which places them ahead of mainstream understanding.

Autistics are leaders…not followers.
